Stunning numbers coming out of my State of Arizona, courtesy The AZ — abc15 — Data Guru:
Number of Ballots Returned, by Party Affiliation, 14 Days Out from Election Day
2016
Total: 391,887
Democrats: 136,993
Republicans: 156,028
Other (No Party Affiliation): 98,866
2020
Total: 656,250
Democrats: 281,263
Republicans: 220,502
Other (No Party Affiliation): 154,485
Election over election, 2020 compared with 2016, we find the following:
Democrats: 205% (a 105% increase!)
Republicans: 141% (a 41% increase whatever)
Others: 156% (a 56% increase in a demographic that Biden has been leading strongly, nationally)
Yes, turnout is way, way ahead in all three groups. But look at the splits! In 2016, 20,000 more R’s than Ds had voted by this time. In 2020, 61,000 more Ds than Rs have voted.
Keep this going, Arizona!!!
**UPDATE**
This data is from Maricopa County, by a mile the largest and most populated county in the state. The candidate who wins Maricopa is almost certain to carry the state.

Fixed my characterization of the percentages, with some extra editorializing added as a bonus (you’re welcome :-)).
